Director's Welcome
Welcome to the International Center for Arid and Semiarid Land Studies. ICASALS is constantly undertaking new and exciting projects, and our goal is to provide the most current updates on ICASALS-related activities and research to interested parties.
We hope that our website can act as a hub for faculty associates of the Center, facilitating the network that is so vital to the interdisciplinary research that arid land studies requires.
Also, the information offered here will be invaluable to students who are already involved in or are interested in becoming involved in the educational programs and scholarship opportunities administered by ICASALS, including our newly organized International Joint Master’s Degree program with the University of Sheffield (UK) and Humboldt University (Germany). We are excited about these endeavors and are eager to share what is happening in the ever-growing field of dryland research.
