CHECK-IN & ORIENTATION CALENDAR
FALL 2008 CHECK-IN
All new and transfer nonimmigrant international students must check-in at the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) office.
August 12, 2008 If your family name begins with the letters A-I 8:30am-4:30pm
August 13, 2008 If your family name begins with the letters J-Q 8:30am-4:30pm
August 14, 2008 If your family name begins with the letters R-Z 8:30am-4:30pm
Students and their dependents arriving for check-in must bring the following documents:
- Passport
- I-94 departure record card
- I-20 form or DS-2019 form
- If transferring, all previously issued I-20 forms or DS-2019 forms
FALL 2008 INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ORIENTATION
August 15 and 16, 2008
The orientation allows Texas Tech University and the ISSS to welcome you. Topics discussed include immigration laws, registration, student services, U.S. taxes and tax reporting, health care, U.S. laws, culture, education and safety. All new and transfer students must attend.
NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION FOR CLASS
August 18 and 19, 2008
Students will meet their advisors from their respective departments and register for classes for the Fall Semester.
