International Student & Scholar Services
| The Office of International Affairs welcomes scholars and students from around the world. The Office provides orientation, counseling and services to international students and scholars in immigration, financial, personal and cross-cultural issues. It operates the University's F-1 Student and J-1 Exchange Visitor programs to facilitate study, research and teaching. It acts for the University in filing employment-based applications for H-1B, O-1 and Permanent Resident status in the United States. |

| International Students: Texas Tech University has approximately 1,400 nonimmigrant students from more than 100 nations. This group is made up of both undergraduate and graduate students who are involved in programs across the University and in those offered by the Texas Tech University Health Science Center. In addition, the University has approximately 500 students who are permanent residents of the United States. International Scholars: More than 225 international scholars from more than 50 countries come to Texas Tech each year to lecture and participate in research. This is a highly diverse group some of whom come for only a few days while others stay for a few years. | |||||||
